Addressing the Rumors and Questions regarding the Lawsuit filed against us.
Ron Ann Myers’ claims are false and nothing more than a transparent attempt to extort a settlement out of someone in the public eye. Although Gretchen works with many talented make-up artists on a weekly basis, she decided to involve Myers with starting her make-up line. At that time both contributed equal amounts of $5,000. A single product was ordered as a test sample. The women divided the product 50/50. As conversations about working together progressed, a written agreement was extended to Myers by Rossi. Myers refused to sign the agreement. Over the next week or so, Rossi and Myers encountered extreme difficulties working together. At this point, Rossi e-mailed Myers, rescinding the original offer to partner together.
In the e-mail to Myers, Gretchen offered to return to Ron Ann her $5,000 and asked her to return the product, since it had Rossi’s name on it. Myers responded in a recorded voicemail, saying, and we quote, “I appreciate your e-mail, I understand, I hope you got mine.” “You don’t need to pay me $5,000 back, that’s not necessary, and as far as the product goes, don’t worry about it, I will take care of it.” Thus, any relationship between Rossi and Myers ended. After several e-mails were sent regarding the termination of the relationship and the need to close the once joint bank account, Myers has refused to respond or communicate with Rossi or Smiley in any way. After several attempts to contact Myers with no response, Rossi closed the account due to it being charged monthly fees and has held the funds in trust.
For 18 months, Ron Ann Myers has abandoned the company, has made no attempt to contact Rossi or Smiley, and has never participated in any future development of the line, its website, its marketing, or promotions. Myers never contributed anything other than the original $5,000, and then kept the product in lieu of payment. Rossi has invested an exorbitant amount of time and money to build her brand and make-up line.
In March of 2011, Myers suddenly appeared again. After seeing the results of Rossi’s hard work, and the numerous articles written about Gretchen and the success of her make-up line, Ron Ann Myers demanded that Rossi and Smiley offer her a substantial position in the company or a settlement; otherwise, Meyers threatened Rossi and Smiley with public embarrassment via the media and press.
Since Ms. Rossi and Mr. Smiley have nothing to hide, and certainly did not embark on an elaborate scheme to defraud Myers, they will defend all allegations, and will do so in an aggressive manner to protect the good name of the company Ms. Rossi has built. Rossi and Smiley have always conducted business in a fair and legal manner, and they are more than prepared to fight these false claims and seek any and all damages and expenses incurred in doing so from Ms. Myers.
We find it sad that people are willing to do almost anything in an attempt to profit off the hard work of others.
If both women put $5,000 into a joint account, and after purchasing the product there was $2,100 left over, why wouldn't Ron-Anne keep the product AND ask for her $1,050 back? I'm confused.
Curtis, you've know Ron Ann for how long? I can guarantee I've known her longer and feel comfortable saying my knowledge of her more extensive than yours. Having grown up next door to her, I've known her since birth. Our parents are still neighbors and I can say they are a wonderful family that raised a lovely young woman. Your experience with her? A few years? I will never believe that she is a "crook". Good attempt to smear her reputation, but we're not buying it.

Over two years ago I was told, by her mother, that Ron-Ann was working on a make-up line. She has been a professional makeup artist for years and not a dilettante as you would hope to portray her. I've never known Ron-Ann to be unethical, but, from what I've seen, you and your boyfriend can not claim the same. I wish you the best in your endeavors, but not at the expense of my lifelong friend.

Your name your brand your company just pray your contract or paperwork states partnership and if you have a contract it will spell out what she gets if you terminate it. If it doesnt she doesnt have a leg to stand on.....Gretchen be a good person and listen to your heart dont be to hard on others because your a dynamo people dont get it stay grounded... protect yourself people are not to be trusted... they turn on you.. careful with trusting I guess you learned that already..

I find it sad that this is happening to you two. There's too many people who wait back to see if something is going to take off and once they see it's successful, now they want a piece of the pie. On another note, follow your heart and don't allow what others say or do affect your drive/vision for your future endeavors; whether it's your business or your relationship. Keep enjoying life, love, happiness and laughter...everything will work out.
I thought she seemed a little sketchy in the scene last season when you were getting the line together and she let it slip that the line was "her" idea then corrected herself and said "I mean OUR idea". You even seemed to hesitate and give her a "what you talking about" kind of look! Good luck and I hope you keep us updated on the situation!

Go get her girl. I work in the legal field and see this type of stuff all the time. Now that your product has taken off, this person thinks they can profit from it. Keep your chin up and keep doing a great job.
She is so jealous of your fame and fortune that she can't stand it! She will never win in court.
I have also had a partner try that. It was not pretty, but I prevailed. Good luck and if you need a new marketing/product development person, I have 15 years in the industry.

Gretchen - someone always wants to bash you about the dumbest things. I think Tamra is out of hand with her behavior yet stikes out against you. It's not a good idea to have a "friend" be a business partner. I learned the hard way. Fight your way to the top because you have alot of fans out there. Wishing you the very best.
